Yunuen Carrillo, 9112 Skeleton Crew, Slam Time with Poets Jesse Parent and RJ Walker, Action Utah Goes to Interim

Tonight’s lineup included:

  • Andrea Himoff of Action Utah, which is offering Interim Session Tours of the State Capitol
    • Wednesday, May 16: School Safety, 12:00-1:00 p.m. Hear from legislators and Action Utah leaders about policy developments in the aftermath of the Parkland shooting

  • Poets Jesse Parent and RJ Walker stopped by to share their winning pieces from last night's monthly Salt Lake Slam, held the last Monday of the month at Even Stevens in downtown SLC. They are part of the team headed to nationals in Chicago later this summer. 
  • 9112 Skeleton Crew, the award-winning, all-girls robotics team from West High: Ellie and Maddie Vandel, Shriya Pingali, Eva Pronovost, Jackie Hall and Florence Thirlwell, and coach Mary Hall. They talked about building robots, STEM ed, and their plans for the future.
  • Songs and stories of Cinco de Mayo with Yunuen Carrillo, Queen of the Mariachis.
