SUWA Update: BLM Cancels 10 New Backcountry Airstrips

Neal Clark, Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance (SUWA) Wildlands Director, shares the latest on these airstrips, many of which show no signs of recent use and none of which were designated for use. They are scattered across some of the most remote and ecologically sensitive landscapes in southern Utah—including the Gemini Bridges/Labyrinth Canyon area and the remote backcountry immediately adjacent to Bears Ears National Monument. BugFest is back as the Natural History Museum of Utah is about to wrap up Bug World, a larger-than-life exhibition that showcases the fantastical yet real-life abilities of bugs. RA welcomes back Christy Bills, aka The Bug Lady, and anthropologist/chef Meg Bartley, who is bringing some termite mac n cheese bites.
