All week long, RadioACTive is collaborating with Alexander Galore of @blackonmarslc + @the.msngr, @mars.roots, @blackmenaces, @musicadeapp, @itsdariusray, @thekashmagazine and @kitokash.art to curate a lineup of 5 Local Salt Lake City Black artists with 5 distinctive sounds and styles to build out a special edition broadcast in celebration of Juneteenth & the history, legacy and bloodline of Black American music.
June: Black on Mars SLC Inaugural Back-to-School Drive, which ends August 1. Goal = 150 backpacks for local SL County students, so no child feels the burden of going without the essentials they need to excel in school. Drop off items at Culture Coffee, 285 N 900 W, SLC.

Utah International Charter School helps refugee and immigrant students acclimate and succeed in Utah's public school system. RA passes the microphone to 10th grader Zakia Mohammadi to share her essay on what America means to her. After the Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan in 2020, her family eventually resettled in Utah.
