Thursday, July 30: According to the 2017 census, the United States is home to 47 million seniors. By 2060, that number will nearly double. Guided by James Brown of Living and Aging with Pride, the RadioACTive Workshop gets ready for Brown's 2nd annual Celebration for the Ages at Tracy Aviary on National Senior Day. Meet SCORE Utah, a nonprofit that connects small businesses with free, confidential mentoring from working and retired business professionals in the community. Plus, Meet Your Maker, ASMR Robot Edition, and Lords of Misrule Theatre Co.

Meet Your Maker: ASMR Edition with Craft Lake City DIY Fest's STEM

It's just one week to the opening of this year's Craft Lake City DIY Festival. Tonight's MYM hosts the DIY Fest's Robot Invasion, part of the festival's STEM exhibition:

SCORE Utah's Randal Klein and John Bradley are looking for experienced professionals in business, entrepreneurship, and nonprofit leadership to volunteer their time to help small business owners succeed. A resource partner of the US Small Business Administration, the Utah chapter is locally run and powered by volunteers ready to help guide the next generation of entrepreneurs. 

  • SCORE is the nation’s largest network of volunteer business mentors, dedicated to helping entrepreneurs start, grow and sustain their businesses. Since 1964, SCORE mentors have helped millions of small business owners turn their ideas into reality and build stronger local economies. All services are free to mentees.

Living & Aging with Pride: A Celebration for the Ages

Today is International Day of Friendship, an auspicious day to host James Brown of Living & Aging with Pride. Brown is preparing for National Seniors Day at Tracy Aviary, which will host the 2nd Annual Celebration of the Ages. The Aviary's Gabriel Cabal and LAP's Teri Slaugh share details.

  • Aug. 21: 2nd Annual Celebration of the Ages | 11A-4P @ Tracy Aviary at Liberty Park, SLC. "A community festival dedicated to honoring older adults on National Senior Day! This event brings together: live music across generations, local vendors and artisan booths, wellness/resource providers, and interactive experiences. Join us for a fun-filled event with a wide variety to choose from, whether it's connecting or celebrating with joy. This day will be full of laughter, impact, and lasting memories. Price: $1 for people 55+. Regular admission is available for those under 55, and the event is included with their purchase. Upon arrival, please check in at the front desk."
