Monday, August 3: The Salt Lake Whale emerges with a new coat of paint by artist Jiyoun Lee-Lodge, called "Open Your Eyes." Plus, folks from Mountain West School Mental Health Foundation talk about their important work with students across the Mountain West, and live and local music from Evan Michael.

The New Salt Lake Whale Emerges!

Arguably SLC's most iconic and popular public art piece, "Out of the Blue" —  aka The SLC Whale — is getting a new coat of paint! Salt Lake City Arts Council's Public Art Program Manager Renato Olmedo-Gonzalez and artist Jiyoun Lee-Lodge join us to discuss her newly unveiled piece, "Open Your Eyes."


Mountain West School Mental Health Foundation

MWSMHF has recently been granted nonprofit status, and Dr. Aaron Fisher is here to talk about the work they do to strengthen school-based mental and behavioral health services for students across the Mountain West.
