Poetic Distractions with Utah Poet Laureate, Paisley Rekdal and a host of Utah poets

Tonight’s Lineup:

In preparation for (or from) a U.S. Vice Presidential Debate, RadioACTive gathered a host of poets for a round table of thoughts and spoken word.

Plus Lara Jones sat down with Utah Poet Laureate, Paisley Rekdal as she shares her latest works, including comparisons of the words of Andrew Jackson and Donald Trump in a poem. Also:

  • As Utah's Poet Laureate, Rekdal curates the website Mapping Literary Utah. "The purpose of Mapping Literary Utah is to chart the state’s wide-ranging literary landscape through brief author biographies, work samples, photos and video or audio material. Because visitors to the site can find authors by region as well as by name and literary genre, we hope they are encouraged to determine for themselves if there are connections between an author, her creative work and environment, or even between different authors attached to the same place over time." ~ Paisley Rekdal

Tonights round table included:

Distractions or Illuminations? You be the judge.
