The Utah Legislature has wrapped its general session for the year. RadioACTive gets reaction from Planned Parenthood Action Council. Utah Clean Infrastructure needs help to stop another warehouse district in SLC. Ericka Nicole Malone on her award-winning film, "Remember Me: The Mahalia Jackson Story."

Deeda Seed, Public Lands Senior Campaigner, Center for Biological Diversity, and a call to help stop another warehouse district near wetlands on SLC's north side.

  • On March 7, the Salt Lake City Council will hold a hearing on the draft Northpoint Small Area Master Plan. If adopted as written, it will pave the way for the creation of a new warehouse district in the Northpoint area (northeast of the airport).  According to CBD and other critics, "this warehouse district would decimate quality of life for the 60 existing homeowners, harm fragile and critical Great Salt Lake wetlands, and add more pollution from diesel trucks and development."   • March 16: The Future of Abortion Access in Utah, 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Sorenson Unity Center Black Box Theater, 1383 S. 900 E., SLC. Event by Planned Parenthood Action Council of Utah: "A Panel Discussion & Community Conversation about what we know, what we're still doing, and how we can work together for the future of abortion access in Utah. Spanish translation available at the event."

RadioACTive Red Carpet Correspondent Autumn Thatcher follows up her Sundance Film Festival Coverage with a conversation with filmmaker Ericka Nicole Malone. The NAACP Image Awards recently recognized Malone's 2022 film, "Remember Me: The Mahalia Jackson Story," for Outstanding Breakthrough Creative (Motion Picture).
