RadioACTive wraps up 801 Day shining a spotlight on local live music makers, including Mel Soul and The Heartbeat and Heeva Olive. Salt Lake Tribune Palak Jayswal and City Weekly's Emilee Atkinson on the venues supporting locals. And Meet Your Maker with Craft Lake City and musicians Raffi and Ischa.

Fresh and homegrown music from  Mel Soul & The Heartbeat, one of 40+ local bands that have played live on RadioACTive since last year's 801 Day. Upcoming cool gigs include Park City Song Summit, Escalante Arts Festival, and the Utah State Fair!

  • GO: The 15th Annual Craft Lake City DIY Fest is Aug. 11-13 at the Utah State Fairpark, 155 N. 1000 W., SLC. It is Utah’s largest local-centric art, music, science and technology festival, celebrating its 15th Anniversary with more than 350 local artisans, vintage vendors, foodies, youth entrepreneurs, performers, & STEM exhibitors. Plus, KRCL hosts a stage featuring local musicians! For tickets, click here

  • Curbside Theatre, a collaboration between SB Dance and Raffi & Ischa. Dates: Aug. 11 (Dumke/Ogden); Aug. 12 (Pinnacle/Sugar House); and Aug. 18 (Woodbine/ Granary District). 

Fresh and homegrown music from Utah's own Heeva Olive. Look for him tonight @soundwellslc for @slaplakecity. Venue is 21+. He's also on the bill for Sounds of Summer, Aug. 11, 7-9:30P, Orem City Center Park (free and family-friendly). Instagram: @heeva.music
