RadioACTive Minds the Gap Fest, celebrates Historic Trinity A.M.E, dips into Spice on 9th, and discusses cannabis regulation in Utah.

Celebrating Trinity A.M.E. Church, Utah’s first black congregation, with Pastor Daryell E. Jackson and Sema Hadithi's Robert Burch. From 11a-2p Saturday, Sept. 9, Trinity A.M.E. will hold a ribbing cutting ceremony for their newly renovated Bourdeaux Fellowship Hall.

Mind the Gap Fest with festival director Samantha Smith.

  • Aug. 26: In addition to 18 artists on stage starting at 11:30 a.m., Mind the Gap will educate festival goers on the different gender gaps in equality including the Income Gap, Executive Position Gap, Educational Attainment Gap, and Political Representation Gap. It will also point toward experts in each field and encourage the support of organizations that are doing the good work to lessen each gap. For tickets, click here

This Friday marks the debut of Spice on 9th and RadioACTive gets a preview with Spice Kitchen's Emily Park and Roxana Bocanegra of BocaDulce.

    Come and join us to celebrate the opening of Spice on 9th, a market, cafe and small business hub located in the Artspace Greenery in the Granary District of Salt Lake City. Supporters of SPICE can sample food, see the space, and learn more about the Spice Kitchen program and the entrepreneurs we serve. The cafe will be operated by Spice entrepreneurs on a rotating basis, giving the public the opportunity to try different world cuisines. Many entrepreneurs will be selling packaged food products. Grab-and-go items, basic coffee drinks as well as produce offered by refugee farmers participating in the IRC’s New Roots program and artisan products from IRC’s Small Business clients.
