Tonight's #EverdayPeople edition of RadioACTive explores self-care with Yoga Forward and BIPoC communities of Utah. Legislative updates from Sue Robbins and League of Women Voters of Utah. Rock Camp SLC is getting ready to rock.

Tonight's lineup:

Hillary McDaniel of Rock Camp SLC, which has been working with folks for the last six weeks to form bands, write songs and prep for a virtual showcase. They will share their work in an online showcase Friday night.

  • Feb. 26: Rock Camp SLC presents #GenderChillFest. "This online festival is the result of Rock Camp shaking things up with a 6-Week SLAY at Home program ... These badasses have been working hard and will be debuting their newest songs with their newly formed bands for one night of in-home rocking! Please support them for their bravery and awesomeness! THIS IS A FUNDRAISER to send kids to camp during the summer at our Rock Camp SLC program. If you can't make it to the fundraiser but want to support the camp, visit rockcampslc.org/donate." 

#3QuickPicks on the People's Business at the Utah Legislature with Emily Walsh of League of Women Voters of Utah

  • The Utah Legislature has only nine days left in its General Session, which ends March 5. Walsh shined a light on the following bills tonight:

    • H.J.R. 13 -- Joint Resolution Declaring Racism a Moral and Public Health Crisis (Rep. Hollins, S.)

    • H.B. 230 -- Legislative Representation Amendments (Rep. Lyman, P.)

  • Wednesdays through March 5: Join the League of Women Voters of Utah for a virtual lunch at 11:00 a.m. each Wednesday. They'll catch you up on the action and answer your questions about the 2021 General Session of the Utah Legislature.

  • Denise Druce, Program Director for Yoga Forward
  • Billy Palmer, yoga student
