- Audio OpEd from Erica Pollard, National Parks Conservation Association. The NPCA’s Utah Senior Program Manager, Pollard said:
- “It is disappointing to see the National Park Service approve the final Glen Canyon National Recreation Area Off-Road-Vehicle Management Plan encouraging more ORV use when the need has not been demonstrated. This decision will lead to increased off-road vehicle traffic and subsequent damage to the area’s unique landscape.”
- Michael Feldman and Scott Cullins on the 2018 Intermountain Songwriters Showcase, which takes place this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. as part of the Made in Utah Festival.

- Aug. 25: Petapalooza, 9a-4p at Viridian West Jordan Library & Event Center, 8030 S. 1825 W., West Jordan. The largest pet adoption event in Salt Lake County with more than a dozen other rescues and shelters and several hundred pets available for adoption. Reptiles, birds, bunnies, cats and dogs. Not interested in adopting a pet? Check out the 70+ vendors that will be set-up adjacent to the library at West Jordan Veterans Memorial Park.

- Urban Farm Report with Denise Devynck of Utah Valley Permaculture Classroom Gardens & Greenhouse, which celebrates its 4th Annual Food Forest Open House tomorrow.
