Music Meets Activism: 70s Glam to Punk Rock

With the help of University of Utah Professor Theresa Martinez and student Daryush Crivello from her SOC 3041 - Sociology of Rock and Roll class, RadioActive dives into the intersection of music, politics and social justice. Tonight, the last night of Radiothon for RadioActive, they explore the intersection of music and activism through 70s Glam to Punk with Aldine, KRCL's Punk Rock Farmer, and Lara Jones.

Tonight's featured #OpenMicActivists:

  • Donald Aguirre, Utah Indivisible, reports in from Rep. Chris Stewart's townhall at West High School, Salt Lake City. CLICK HERE for his Facebook feed from the townhall.
  • Ariel Paz, Utah Immigrant Rights Action Committee, a "radical community-based immigrant rights organization in Utah actively fighting to defend the rights of the oppressed, from undocumented to asylum seekers to refugees, and supporting, in solidarity, other communities seeking social justice."
