50th anniversary of Earth Day, Utah Rivers Council, Earth First Park City, #QuarantineCocktails with City Weekly and The Green Pig Pub, U of U ArtsBridge, Poetry Still Happens with Rob Carney 

Tonight's Lineup:

#QuarantineCocktails Ep13 with City Weekly's John Saltas and Bridgette Gordon of The Green Pig Pub in downtown SLC. Bridgette was able to secure a loan through the Paycheck Protection Program and said the bar will be back better than ever to provide nights like the Monday Night Blues Jam that recently celebrated its 10th year at the Green Pig. 

UofU ArtsBridge director, Kerri Hopkins along with students, Sydney Williams, Laurie Larson and Leanne Hodges talked the ArtsBridge Art Challenge. An online arts program they created for kids after COVID social distance measures limited them from working with elementary students in Salt Lake City:

  • The  ArtsBridge Art Challenge includes instructional videos for kids with limited materials in mind and an interactive component where students can share their creations back with the instructors through a Padlet board

#ShelterInPoems: “Lynx Music” by Rob Carney. Its part of Facts & Figures, Carney’s latest collection of poems, available now from Hoot n Waddle and fine bookstores everywhere.

Planet Earth First director, Evan Jennings with a call to action today and challenge for people to find out your Carbon Footprint Calculator and learn how small changes to your household’s daily routine can make a difference. Plus Planet Earth First can  send you 10 tree seeds, to get you started on your journey. 

Utah Rivers Council, executive director, Zach Frankel talked about the history and purpose of Earth Day and shared news of a mega-drought and it's connection to Climate Change.
