Millcreek City Manager Mike Winder shared the latest on the fire that consumed 24 units at Willow Glen Apartments last Friday. With donated items filling an entire room at City Hall, Winder says the city is putting a pause on donated goods for the moment.

  • IMMEDIATE NEEDS: If you have a short-term or long-term rental, please use this link and fill out the form with rental information. There is also a field at the bottom to list physical items you have to donate. We will be in touch once we figure out what people need, once we distribute what has already been received.

RadioACTive Pop! Gets Ready For '801 Day'

And you thought KRCL takes 801 Day seriously (We do! Tune in for all Utah bands on Friday)! Olivia Jaramillo and the RadioACTive Team talk pop culture, Utah-style, with Emily Means, Ivana Martinez and Terina Ria of the City Cast Salt Lake podcast and newsletter

  • Aug. 1: City Cast Salt Lake 801 Day | 6-9 PM | Gallivan Center, SLC. "Get ready to party like it's Julia Reagan's birthday, because 801 Day 2025 is going to be the Salt Lake celebration of the year. 801 is more than an area code; it's about the quirks and delights that unite us as locals and make our community great. Expect a beer garden hosted by Second Summit Hard Cider, live DJs from The Siren Collective, local food trucks, the first-ever Win Win summer artisan marketplace, and more! Think block-party vibes in the heart of downtown. It’s where you and your family will want to be on a summer evening in Salt Lake City — a party by locals, for locals. The City Cast Salt Lake team will be there, too, and we can't wait to celebrate with you! This is a free event that's open to the public, but RSVP now to reserve your spot. Food and drink will be available for purchase."
