Gift for Good: Comunidades Unidas

When you donate $100 to KRCL, you can choose to pay it forward with a Gift for Good for Comunidades Unidas. Executive Director Dominique Byrd joins us to talk about the nonprofit's work ensuring that immigrants and working-class community members can shape the policies, systems, and conditions that impact their daily lives.  CUUtah also provides monthly Know Your Rights Training in the community and daily at its offices for individuals needed.

  • Mission: "Comunidades Unidas (CU) is an organization founded in 1999 that fights to build the social and political power of people who identify as Latinx immigrants (including undocumented folks) living in Utah. We defend the human rights of our community by connecting them to the social service programs they need to prosper and with opportunities to organize to transform themselves and their community."
