March 31: Last Day of “Seeds of Memory: Cultivating Heritage, Healing the Land.” Slow Food Utah's Jennifer Williamson shares details on the ways you can help schools get free seeds to plant this season. It's more than a fundraiser, though:
"From the Sea Island Red Pea that survived the Middle Passage to the Carolina African Runner Peanut that nearly went extinct, each seed in our heritage kit carries the weight of history and the promise of resilience. When we plant these seeds, we honor ancestors. When we save them, we protect the future."
Veteran journalist Skywatcher Leo T shares his love of the night sky, space news, and cultural stories of the stars. To share your skylore or ask questions, follow SkyWatcher Leo T on Facebook. Tonight:
Future Craft Farm Collective is Rachael Hall and Soni Scheig’s passion project, where a love of carefully curated textiles, friendship, crafts, and, of course, food, all connect. Rachael and Soni met in the summer of 2022 on a small urban farm in Salt Lake City. Their love of utilitarian cycling, sewing, cooking, and community involvement made them fast friends. 3 years later, they started a farm and haven of their own on a half-acre in Glendale.
