Saturday is another nationwide day of planned protests by activists across the country. CSAs: New Roots SLC offers a weekly farm box, providing market exposure and supplemental income for refugee farmers through Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). CSAs are a business model that allows consumers and producers to share the risks and rewards associated with food production. CSA members make a monetary commitment to the farmer at the beginning of the season and receive local, organically grown produce throughout the growing months in return. To sign up, click here.
New Roots Farmers Market at Redwood Farm: Open Wednesdays, 4:30-7:30 PM from June 29 to October 19. New Roots in SLC also offers a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and the Redwood Farm is a CSA pick-up location.
