Rebecca Dutson of The Children's Center Utah, a nonprofit that provides comprehensive mental health care to enhance the emotional well-being of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families.

  • Nov. 17: Ready! Resilient! Utah Early Childhood Mental Health Summit presented by Governor Spencer J. Cox and First Lady Abby Cox, 9:00-11:00 a.m. online. "Attendees of the 2022 summit can expect an inspiring and educational morning with keynote speaker Jessica Pryce, PhD, MSW, a research professor at Florida State University., as well as from Gov. Cox, First Lady Abby Cox, and a variety of others. The event also will report progress on the program and policy efforts made by the Utah Early Childhood Mental Health Working Group. The working group is a cross-sector team of leaders and key stakeholders in Utah that has focused its expertise and energy throughout the past two years on addressing system-level change to further strengthen early childhood mental health in Utah." Bill Tibbitts of the Coalition of Religious Communities and Crossroads Urban Center. Last week, the two groups and other community partners held a press conference in the Hall of Governors at the Utah Capitol to ask Gov. Cox to call lawmakers into a Special Session and address the emergency housing needs of unhoused families with children this winter.

Meet Your Maker, a conversation about creativity with local makers of all kinds. Tonight: Eric Lo, CEO and co-founder of Krado Inc., a plant tech start-up. A serial entrepreneur, he has multiple patents and publications and is a technical founder with molecular biology, biotechnology, and software engineering expertise. But he's also a classically trained pianist and co-founder of Audio Inn Recording in SLC.
