We shared part of a conversation about a combined effort from Environmental Advocates throughout the west to protect public land from a series of Trump Administration protection rollbacks in their last year of office. we will share the whole conversation on January 6th, 2021

Tara Rollins of Utah Housing Coalition shared the status of evictions in 2020, solutions for affordable housing, and resources for families that may face evictions once the moratorium has ended. 

Salt Lake City Mayor, Erin Mendenhall, talked about stepping in to help with the plans for an emergency shelter that will open soon in Salt Lake City, and the need to give more resources to the Salt Lake Valley Coalition to End Homelessness who are tasked with coming up with solutions for people experiencing homelessness. Mendenhall also shared the cities plans to find more solutions for people living unsheltered and suggested people visit the Community Commitment Program web page for more information.
