Dr. Jackie Thompson portrays Harriet Tubman and talks about her character portrayals as a means to keep civil rights history alive for a new generation. 

Steve Luxenberg, Author of SEPARATE: The Story of Plessy V. Ferguson, and America’s Journey from Slavery to Segregation, talks about his book that highlights the relevance of a Supreme Court case that reinforced Segregation in America.  

Eugene Puryear, Journalist, Activist, and Author of Shackled and Chained: Mass Incarceration in Capitalist America gives a preview of what he will be speaking about during two lectures scheduled this weekend.
