Robert Austin, the K-12 Social Studies Specialist at the State Board of Education, talked about teaching civic identity and character in Utah schools. That was the topic of A Place for All, a new conference designed to strengthen civics education in Utah.

Poetry Happens with Michael McLane, featured poet at this month's poetry reading and open mic, 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, at Pioneer Book in Provo.
