Celebration of the Hand, with Angela Brown of Craft Lake City and artists Jorge Arellano, Andrew Alba and Lola Reyes.
- June 15: Celebration of the Hand: Nopalera Artist Collective Exhibit Walk, 6:00-8:00 p.m., featuring eight different works by eight different artists from eight different homelands. Meet at West Temple and Broadway (300 South) in downtown SLC. Local artist, humanities scholar, and UMFA director of education and engagement Jorge Rojas will lead interactive tours. FREE.

Gina Cornia of Utahns Against Hunger, which is mapping placeschildren under 18 may obtain free meals and snacks this summer.

Jeremy Bradford Pugh of Salt Lake magazine, which will hold its 8^th annual Tastemakers from 5:00-10:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday, at Gateway. The two-day event is filled with food, beer, craft cocktails and wine tastings from the best restaurants and bars in Salt Lake City. Click herefor tickets to Tastemakers.
- A portion of proceeds from Tastemakers will benefit KidsEat! Utah. Lynda Smart Brown, president and CEO, said the non-profit will use the money raised to fill backpacks with food for the children that attend Boys & Girls Clubs, Neighborhood House, DDI HeadStart, and Murray School District Title One Schools.

Valeria Jimenez and Marlen Olmedo of Voto Latino at University of Utah. The group is helping to organize the Families Belong Together Rally, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at the Wallace Bennett Federal Building, 125 S. State St., SLC.

Francisca Figueroa and Uriel Morales, volunteers with Comunidades Unidas and its Vote for 2campaign to register 1,000 new Latinx voters before the general election in November.

The Community Coalition for Inland Port Reform invites the public to meetup and Say "NO" to a polluting SLC Inland Port, 8:00-10:00 a.m. Monday, June 18, during the Port Authority’s first meeting at the Utah State Capitol. RadioActive talked about the port’s pollution potential with:
