Notes on peaceful resistance with youth activist Daud Mumin, Palestinian Human Rights Advocate Issa Amro. Dr. Dave wraps his series on navigating unpleasant changes via the Tarot Deck. Fourth Street Clinic's call for community help.

Tonight’s lineup:

In the wake of another curfew in SLC, RadioACTive talked about the situation during another Community Roundtable. Guests included:

  • Youth activist Daud Mumin, formerly of March For Our Lives Utah

  • Community Co-Host Amy Dominguez

  • Community Correspondent Tamrika Khvtisiashvili

  • Salt Lake City Weekly Publisher John Saltas

  • RadioACTive’s Lara Jones

Seeking insight from someone involved in nonviolent protest in another part of the world, Khvtisiashvili spoke with Palestinian Human Rights Advocate Issa Amro.

  • Although arrested more times than he can count for non-violent human rights work, Amro continues to insist on peaceful resistance. In 2010, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights declared him "human rights defender of the year in Palestine." At present, an Israeli military court has indicted him on no less than 18 charges, which a U.N. Special Rapporteur has decried as a campaign of harassment.

Laurel Ingham of Fourth Street Clinic, which has issued a plea for supplies as it continues to test patients experiencing homelessness for COVID-19. Fourth Street tests about 50 patients per day in its outdoor tents, where temperatures continue to rise. Current needs for in-kind donations include:

  • SUNSCREEN!!!  Small bottles or large are fine. Branded give-a-way ones are perfect.

  • New brimmed hats or baseball caps.

  • Refillable water bottles.
