  • Aug. 28: MARCH oN FoR VoTING RIGHTS UTAH, 10a-12p at the Utah State Capitol, SLC. Event by MARCH oN FoR VoTING RIGHTS UTAH: "On the 58th Anniversary of the March on Washington, Voting Rights are under attack. Join us, as we come together with fellow marchers from around the country to stand up for voting rights. Your vote is your voice. Use It or Lose It."

The International Rescue Committee in Salt Lake City is preparing to receive refugees from Afghanistan and you can help. RadioACTive spoke with Executive Director Natalie El-Deiry and Shahideh Safi, who leads IRC-SLC's college and career program.

  • Group Volunteer Opportunities: The IRC in Salt Lake City offers several group volunteer opportunities ranging from group work days at its New Roots farm or garden sites, helping out at the Goat Ranch, cleaning up Spice Kitchen and more.

Celebrating 90 years of the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art with Executive Director Laura Hurtado. Founded in 1931 as the Art Barn Association, UMOCA was founded in the middle of the Great Depression by art enthusiast Alta Rawlins Jensen. Current exhibits include:
