RadioACTive Workshop: Films in Progress

Utah has a 100-year legacy of filmmaking. Tonight, SLCC Film Professor Tyler Smith and student filmmakers give us a sneak peek at the documentaries they'll showcase at the End of Semester Student Film Screening on May 1 at 6 PM at the SLCC South Campus, 1575 S State St, SLC, in Multi-Purpose Room 1-030.

  • Ikigai: The film explores the Japanese concept of Ikigai and how individuals define life's purpose. Director: Brooke Giles

  • Devils In God's City: In a state where religion and conservatism are the dominant culture, rebellion plays even louder. Devils in God’s City takes a look inside Utah’s underground countercultural music scene and shows how the pressure of conformity shapes identities. Co-Directors: Sam Wilson and Riley Hastings

  • The Panto Connection: In this documentary, we’ll follow Jordan “Jords” Shami on his journey to bring the British pantomime tradition to Utah. Director: Liz Pope
