  • Dec. 10: Black Bold & Brilliant presents: Beyond the Mix | 7 PM @ Utah Film Center, 375 W 400 N, SLC. UFC's Russell Roots shares more details about this documentary that showcases a diverse array of genres and influences, highlighting the global reach of contemporary music.     • Dec. 13: Holiday Makers Market | 10A-3P at the Front Climbing Club, 4140 S Main St, Millcreek. Free for members and guests. "Join us for our annual Holiday Market, complete with 50+ local vendors, a mimosa bar, a wrapping station, and photos with Sendin’ Santa, where all donations benefit our Impact Coalition Partner, VOA Utah."

    • Dec. 19: Wild Winter Art Market | 5-8 PM at Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter, 1258 Center Dr, Park City. "Join Swaner for a holiday market featuring local artists whose work highlights the beauty of the natural world. Free admission. Each vendor will be donating a small portion of their proceeds to Swaner Preserve & EcoCenter."

  • Dec. 21-24: The Lord of Misrule Christmas Charity Show @ The Beehive, 666 S State St, SLC. Lead Lord and Poet RJ Walker and fellow cast members Quali Reed and Anna Maguire explain this punk rock Christmas Tradition. The Lord of Misrule is a wacky, interactive Christmas play where the audience donates to a social cause to change what happens before their eyes.

    • Synopsis: Televangelist Lucas Karol heals the "sick," performs "exorcisms," but most importantly, collects donations from his followers for these miracles on his daytime TV show, Scriptures Unscripted. Then, during Pastor Karol Presents: A Christmas Carol, a rowdy mob hijacks the show, and the Pastor, his wife, and his special guests are forced to obey the orders of the Lord of Misrule, who is leading the mob while performing their Christmas pageant.

    • The Audience can change the play in various ways by making donations to 2nd & 2nd Coalition. The show’s program will have a list of challenges for the actors that an audience member can order. As more and more of these challenges are piled onto the characters, more of their real personalities rise to the surface. Will Pastor Karol’s church survive this hostile yuletide takeover?

Roundtable Tuesday Rolls with Blockers, Jammers and Pivots

  • Dec. 13: Skates & Smiles, A Roller Derby Giveback Event | Doors @ 6:30 PM. First whistle @ 7 PM at The Derby Depot, 1415 S 700 W #17, SLC. Event by The Beehive Skate Revolution: "A seasonal celebration of our officials and volunteers! We'll be putting a smile back on the face of one of our most beloved refs, and saying thank you to all the people who keep us on track. Catch all the hard-hitting derby action, grab some gourmet hot chocolate or a sweet treat from Tortured Truffles, and snag a holiday photo op with some of your favorite sports teams’ mascots. General admission: $10 in advance ($15 at the door).Kids 12 & under: Free with paying adult."
