Public Access is a documentary film that takes an unprecedented look inside one of greatest media experiments in American history. We hear the story of Public Acces television in New York City in all its unfiltered, raw, and completely unregulated glory. Radioactive's Connor Estes had the opportunity to talk to director of Public Access David Shadrack Smith at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, as well as Jake Fogelnest a subject and consulting producer of the film. They discuss current questions we face with the first amendment in our current political climate and how it resembles similar conversations when public access cable television made its debut.
