Meet the DJ: Bianca Velasquez, Host of KRCL's We Ride At Dawn
RadioACTive's Asha Pruitt talks with Bianca Velasquez, host of We Ride At Dawn every Sunday from 5-7 AM. Both have worked for SLUG Magazine and KRCL. Velasquez shares why she kicks off each show with an anonymous Utah-based "Missed Connection" reading, how curates playlists, her background as a visual artist, and more. No matter the tone of the show — from the sounds of pining indie-folk to heart-electrifying club music — Velasquez says, "it is YOUR ride; we are just playing the soundtrack."
