  • June 19 & 21: Dear Pelican Screens at the Utah Arts Festival. RadioACTive talks with emmy-winning filmmaker John Meier about his documentary. In it, students from Emerson Elementary use poetry and art to bring awareness to the changing landscape and a diminishing ecosystem at the Great Salt Lake. 

  • June 25: Justice By Objectives Resource Fair | 10-5 PM | Utah State Capitol, 350 N State St, SLC. Channae Haller, who started Justice by Objectives based on her own experience with the criminal justice system, shares details about this community event. It will connect Utahns exiting incarceration with critical resources, including nearly 30 organizations ready to help folks start over. FREE and open to the public.

  • June 26: Free screening of The Oslo Diaries | 6:30 PM | Glendale Public Library (1375 S Concord St, SLC. Presented by J Street Utah, Utahns for a Just Peace in the Holy Land (UJPHL), Combatants for Peace, and Unitarian Universalists for Justice in the Middle East SLC. RadioACTive talks with Gail Boling of UJPHL and Matthew Weinstein of J Street Utah read us in.

    • "What can we learn today from the peace process that nearly ended the Israeli-Palestinian conflict? Following the film, we will be hosting an introductory discussion of why the 'Oslo process' (which was supposed to lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state) failed and what a just resolution of the conflict could/should look like."
