Andrew Shaw of the Salt Lake City Art Council's Wake the Great Salt Lake art project is back. This time, he's joined by artist Nick Pedersen, whose digital photo collage, Here Today, Gone Tomorrow, was installed today. The work depicts two possible futures of the GSL ecosystem, showcased on opposing billboards in the Poplar Grove neighborhood.

HIKER ALERT: Upper Millcreek Road Improvement Project will keep upper Mill Creek Road closed (from the winter gate) for construction this year and next. According to SL County: "Most of the hiking and biking trails will remain open. The Pipeline and Upper Pipeline trails will serve as the main routes between the upper and lower sections of the canyon, ensuring access to most of your favorite spots."
Salt Lake Symphony will close its season with Sound and Silence. RadioACTive gets a preview with the host of the evening, musician-composer Phillip Bimstein. He and his wife, symphony member Charlotte Bell, will present a pre-concert meditation and listening workshop.

This new documentary from filmmaker/actor Marci Krown of Krown Family Films premieres at the Move United Conference in Park City this evening. RadioACTive talks with James Dixon, one of the film's subjects.
ISSUE: In the United States, an estimated 5.6 million people are living with limb loss or limb difference. Local resident James Dixon was born with a limb difference, and after 20+ surgeries, he finally had his leg amputated at 11 years old. At 45 years old, he finally got the right prosthetic for his needs. His story is included in the new documentary The Power of Sports for Amputees.
