Mix up your day with clay! Complete beginners or advanced students new to VAI, this half session option is designed for you. Adults and teens 14 and older, come have fun with us while getting to know our studio and the ceramics process. This mixed level class is designed for both beginners seeking a shorter try-it out option and advanced students looking to sample clay studios. Our experienced instructor will work with students by following an adaptive schedule of hands-on demonstrations. Peer-to-peer support is encouraged along with comfort in working independently as projects may vary greatly. Instruction will be woven into lessons to build knowledge in the areas of throwing, hand-building, glazing techniques, functional wares, object design, and expression. After demonstrations, students may work freely on their own projects with instructor support. While projects can vary, practice and repetition in an instructor led environment are powerful tools for progressing. Animation is a versatile medium that allows for the creation of movement in both analogue and digital formats.
