Utah Juneteenth

This year take part in celebrating the anniversary of the 35th Utah Juneteenth Festival hosted by Project Success Coalition! R&B singer J.Holiday will be headlining this year at the Ogden Amphitheater. The theme for this year's festival is “Freedom is Never Granted, It Is Won '' to honor the resilience of the enslaved people and to celebrate the culture and contributions of African Americans. Events and activities will be held for the entire community including the Kids Dance & Talent Show, Barber & Braid Battle, Car Show and other fun events! The festival will be free but donations to Project Success Coalition will be accepted. Let's celebrate freedom, honor the past, and commit to creating a brighter future for all. Happy Juneteenth! 8th Annual Utah Blues Fest - Day 1

The Utah Blues Society presents its biggest fundraiser of the year, the 8th Annual Utah Blues Fest - Day 1. Featured national performers kick off at 5 pm with LARRY MCCRAY, followed by ANNIKA CHAMBERS & PAUL DESLAURIERS and ending with TAB BENOIT. After the Fest, at 10 pm, bay area's Mitch Woods brings his world renowned "Club 88" to the host hotel's piano bar (the Marriott) where the musicians will sit in for late night jamming.

8th Annual Utah Blues Fest - Day 2

The Utah Blues Society presents Day 2 of its biggest fundraiser of the year, the 8th Annual Utah Blues Fest. Featured national performers kick off at noon with DENNIS JONES, the CASH BOX KINGS, D.K. HARRELL, SUE FOLEY and ending with SOUTHERN AVENUE. After the Fest, at 10 pm, bay area's Mitch Woods brings his world renowned "Club 88" to the host hotel's piano bar (the Marriott) where the musicians will sit in for late night jamming. There will also be free workshops – Tony Holiday’s Harmonica Workshop and Sue Foley’s nationally respected “One Guitar Woman”!

Soifua Foundation Luau Fundraiser

Talofa, friends! Are you ready for a night of fun, culture, and giving back? Join us on August 12, 2024, at the Ed Kenley Amphitheater at the Soifua Foundation Luau Fundraiser! Soifua is a registered 501(c)3 non profit. Get your tickets at Zagg locations in Valley Fair Mall, Southtown Mall, Layton, Roy or Ogden, or simply visit SoifuaFoundation.org️ Every ticket purchased helps provide scholarships to students. This fundraiser is designed to launch our Utah-based scholarships, continue our scholarships in Samoa, and help lay a foundation for expansion to the other Islands. Lawn tickets for Kids under 4 are FREE, and other tickets range from $5-$15. Come early starting at 5:00 PM to enjoy the food trucks and vendors before the show starts at 7 PM! Range 2 River Relay

Bike, boat, & run from the Wasatch Range to the Jordan River. Explore the condition of the Salt Lake Valley’s waterways and learn about recreation in your backyard. Win awesome prizes from Backpacker’s Pantry, Bluff Street Bandit, Bingham Cyclery, Coalatree, Dr. Naylor, Epic Brewing, Gnarly Nutrition, HOKA, Party Shirt International, Pit Viper, Salt Lake Running Company, Voile, 5.11 Tactical, and more! The Range 2 River Relay is light on competition and heavy on fun! Team Heat For those looking to build friendships and have family-friendly fun! Teams include a biker, boater, and runner. The first participant bikes the path of City Creek. This 7.2-mile leg starts at the Utah State Fairpark - West Lot, bikes up to the City Creek Canyon Trailhead, and ends back at the Utah State Fairpark - West Lot. The second teammate boats the Jordan River northward. This 3.3-mile leg starts at Utah State Fairpark - West Lot and ends at Riverview Trailhead. The scenic Jordan River Trail is utilized for the final stretch of the race. This 3.4-mile leg starts at the Riverview Trailhead and finishes back at the Utah State Fairpark - West Lot. Individual Heat For those looking to test their active transportation and outdoor recreation abilities! Participate in the course as a triathlon. *Attention: Competitors are required to bring their own equipment, including a bicycle, bicycle helmet, non-motorized watercraft, paddle(s), and personal floatation device. Kayaks, canoes, personal floatation devices, and paddles rentals from the Jordan River Commission are sold out.
