3rd Annual Holiday Shop Gift Guide Event

As the Holiday shopping season kicks into high gear, avoid all the combat scenarios that unfold at big-box stores! Join us for our 3rd Annual Holiday Shop Gift Guide Event. We'll have authors, artists, and artisans in the store talking about and signing their books, artwork, and crafts, creating a number of very special and very unique gift ideas for every member of your family. Confirmed, so far, are Greg & Amy Newbold, Caitlin Sangster, Tricia Levenseller, Erin Summerill, Christian McKay Heidicker, Angela Sandberg, Tim Brown, Susan Fitch, Crystal Leichty, Steven Heumann, and Lezlie Evans. We're honored to have the Kade Gordon Trombone Quartet on hand to provide us with some seasonal music for part of the afternoon. We'll post their performance hours when they're confirmed. This event will begin at 1:00 p.m. and will run until 4:00 p.m., and some light snacks will be served. Happy Holidays!

Friday, December 6th at 7pm Thursday, December 12th at 7pm Friday, December 13th at 7pm Professors Janis Louie and Tom Richmond perform an extraordinary series of chemical experiments that educate and entertain audiences of all ages. This free, family-friendly event is a Salt Lake holiday favorite. The lectures are named after Michael Faraday, the discoverer of electromagnetic induction, electro-magnetic rotations, the magneto-optical effect, diamagnetism and field theory. Faraday served as director of the Royal Institute in London from 1825-1867 and enhanced its reputation as a center for scientific research and education. A gifted lecturer, he began presenting his Christmas Lectures for Children at the Royal Institute in the mid-1820s.
