Featured Speaker: Sascha Darlington This lecture delves into the intersectional strategies of early HIV/AIDS activism, particularly focusing on the ways LGBTQ+ communities - especially Queer People of Color - transformed grief and neglect into grassroots action, visibility, and public health advocacy. Sascha’s work uses desire-centered historical research to highlight the dynamic and diverse coalitions that emerged during the crisis, and how their legacies continue to shape activism today.
