Produced by the Salt Lake City Arts Council in partnership with the Utah Division of Arts & Museums, the Living Traditions Festival is a three-day multicultural festival.

Preservation Hall Jazz Band has held the torch of New Orleans music aloft for more than 65 years, all the while carrying it enthusiastically forward as a reminder that the history they were founded to preserve is a vibrantly living history.

Kenshin Taiko has been performing Japanese taiko drumming for 30 years, as 2026 marks their 30th year! This year’s performance features heart-pounding rhythms from various regions of Japan, celebrating a rich cultural heritage that was brought to the United States in the 1960s.
