Concerts by the Creek: Doc Young

https://events.slcpl.org/event/10849928 Live, local music under the evening sky! The City Library Summer Concert Series will keep you rockin' with free outdoor concerts in all kinds of genres. About the Artist Brian “Doc” Young is artistically influenced by living in the American southwest. He was raised in Arizona on the rhythms and melodies of the confluences of country, cowboy and caballero cultures with the ubiquity of blues, rockabilly and rock and roll. Brian now calls Salt Lake City his home where you may have seen him perform as a solo artist or in his bands Barrelhouse, Menlo and, most recently, the DayLates.

Drive-By Truckers are hitting the road this summer revisiting their 2001 double album, Southern Rock Opera. Patterson Hood says of the speicl tour, "We’ll be playing songs from the original release, plus a small handful of songs that pertain to its themes and points of view, plus a short encore set that will be different each night. It’ll be a different and very special show, and very likely the last time we’ll ever do it so DON’T MISS IT!”

Salt Lake City Downtown Farmer's Market

The Downtown Farmers Market is a summer tradition in Salt Lake and will run Saturdays, June 1stto October 19th from 8am to 1pm. The Market exists to strengthen and support small local farms and businesses as they bring their products directly to the public. Our farmers and producers offer the freshest local fruits and vegetables as well as a wide variety of grass-fed meats, eggs, dairy, honey, and flora, along with the region's best locally made sauces, spreads, baked goods and culinary accoutrements. The Downtown Art & Craft Market runs adjacent to the Farmers Market in Pioneer Park and celebrates our communities' desire for unique, handmade, local gifts and art.
