The 12th annual Utah Dance Film Festival will screen 26 films from 9 countries, including 6 films made in Utah. All the films feature dance as a storytelling medium, and film styles include documentaries, narrative works and experimental pieces. Many types of dance are represented, including ballroom, break dancing, ballet, folk dance and contemporary. Audience members who have an interest in filmmaking or choreography will enjoy these singularly unique works from across the globe. The festival also offers a Tahitian dance workshop, and a free awards showcase. Short filmmaker Q and A sessions will follow each screening. Most films will also screen online for free the weekend of the event.
